Reiki is a therapy often described as "healing hands" that has been around for thousands of years. It originated in Asia and is a hands-on-body healing where the practitioner places their hands on or over the client's body to facilitate the patient's healing.

Reiki combines both Japanese & Chinese word characters of "rei" meaning spiritual and "ki" meaning life energy. One of the basic tenants of Reiki is that vital energy is channeled to support the body's own innate healing abilities. 

Quantum physics  supports that everything including our own bodies are energy. Disease is often caused by discordant energy trapped inside the body that manifests as pain or illness.  Reiki addresses the energy within the body to help release blockages and channel healing life force to raise your own energy.
